I'm so glad.....

I'm so glad, that she's my little girl....
sang Paul Mc. Cartney vor rund 45 Jahren

"I'm so glad it's over"
sagt Heather Mills heute (17.03.08) unmittelbar
nach dem Scheidungstermin

Da kommt ja Freude auf, wenn beide so
glücklich sind
nur...
.....ach so, sie reden von etwas bzw. jemand anderem

sie reden also aneinander vorbei
kein Wunder
dass die beiden sich nicht verstanden haben!

Die Synthese zwischen beiden Statesment
haben seinerzeit schon
die Rolling Stones gezogen:
"...I used to love her, but it's all over now"

Forever young

May god bless and keep you always
may your wishes all come true
may you always do for others
and let others do for you
may you build a ladder to the stars
and climb on every rung
and may you stay forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
may you grow up to be true
may you always know the truth
and see the light surrounding you
may you always be courageous
stand upright and be strong
and may you stay forever young

May your hands always be busy
may your feet always be swift
may you have a strong foundation
when the winds of changes swift
may your heart always be joyful
may your song always be sung
and may you stay forever young

Bob Dylan (1974)

Gott gehe nicht von deiner Seite
was du wünschst, das sei dir nah,
setz' dich immer ein für andre
dann sind sie für dich auch da
träum' dir eine Himmelsleiter
und beim Aufstieg halt' den Schwung
und bleib' nur - für immer jung!

Wachse auf als ein Gerechter,
und du wirst glaubwürdig sein
was die Wahrheit ist, erkenne
und um dich strahlt heller Schein
Mut brauchst du um fest zu stehen,
Mut auch zur Veränderung
und bleib' du nur - für immer jung!

Du sollst niemals träge werden,
deine Füße soll'n nicht stehn,
doch hab' gute Bodenhaftung
wenn die Winde anders wehn
Deine Seele sei voll Freude
und dein Lied Bereicherung
und bleib' du nur - für immer jung!

Bob Dylan and Clapton, those friends
they played many songs with their bands
first Bob watched the river flow
then Eric, he let it grow
and people were all clapping hands

Tom Petty's enjoying sunshine
at the Pacific coast line
saying: It's a pity
that I'm not so pretty,
but this pretty voice, that is mine!

Not a daydream

I once met someone
on Friday 13th., at 11.11.a.m.
and he told to me:
"What a lucky day to see you here!
The party will start straight off!"
I asked him:"Where?"
and he answered:
"We'll meet at the crossing
of Highway 61, don't worry,
everything is o.k.!"
I thought by myself: "Just do it!
There's nothing interesting happening
besides!"
When I arrived there
I saw an angel,
who looked like Tom Petty
(that's nearly the same)
and he told to me:
"Come on! I'll give something to you
for learning to fly. You ain't got wings!"
Blackout then.......
I found myself standing
at the top of Statue of Liberty,
the Petty-angel right beside me.
I looked down and there was no water,
but I saw Central Park.
A guy was standing there,
a guitar in his hands,
and he was shouting: "Look for America!"
and something more about this
"Land of endless possibilities"
Suddenly - the angel pushed me
softly a little bit forward.
Free falling........
I woke up, drenched in sweat,
while I was just falling
deep down into the mattress of my bed
with a strange feeling in my stomach,
and I thought by myself:
"Thanks god, I just got my acts together!"
I stood up, looked into the mirror
and wiped off the ashing

Bob Dylans great celebration -
it was more than congratulation:
The great artist, Stevie Wonder,
was blowin' in the wind with thunder,
then, sending boots of spanish leather,
for all kinds of stormy weather
that was a pretty lady named Nancy,
singing well, same as the brothers of Clancy,
who let soon the ship come in
with Irish whiskey and gin,
Trucker "Duck"
he sung with luck
about a baby tonight
and he really looked bright!
Chrissie Hynde
she was so kind
rocking "I shall be released"
and all people were pleased.
Great Nelson Wilbury
was looking for sweet Marie
Roger Mc Guinn
though he didn't win,
he was quite good
same as Ron Wood,
but Eddie Vedder,
he was much better,
the best one who had sung,
that was - really - Neil Young!
(But only if you except
Eric Clapt.....
and if you forget
Tommy Pet....)
It was almost twelve
when the "king" came himself,
he was singing late night,
pretending : "Ma, it's all right!".
- - - - -
The only one of all
this night playing in the hall
who disappeared without honour,
that was - Sinead O' Connor!

a tale for people who love Tom Petty

(writing this tale I used the titles of
about 80 songs, written and/or
performed by Tom Petty and the heartbreakers):

I was born in Chicago on a blue sunday
in this old town
you don't know how it feels
when it's time to move on
to dreamville, finding peace in L.A.
where you can't stop the sun
On a big weekend
I met an American girl,
a honey bee named Melinda,
more than a face in the crowd,
I thought:" Here comes my girl!
It's an Angel Dream, this one's for me,
the best of everything! All or nothing!"
With Mary Jane's new car
we rode down South
on kings highway
into the great wide open,
doing anything that's Rock'n Roll.
I felt it's good to be a king,
rollin' in my Baby's arms.
One more day, one more night
we were flirting with time
without a shadow of a doubt,
she had a mind with a heart of its own.
In the Louisiana rain we rented
a house in the woods,
living in the room at the top.
I don't know what to say to you, but
searching to find a friend
we met Joe, an insider
from the cabin down below.
Soon I felt something in the air.
It won't last long: Thirteen days later
I heard two men talking to a night driver
about Joe, the man who loves women,
especially Melinda!
I felt running down a dream: You and me !?
Where's the golden rose I loved?
Didn't I listen to her heart?
I found her and Joe at Zombies Zoo.
I said: "Don't do me like that! I'm counting on you!
I'm depending on you! Baby, please don't go!
I need you!"
She said: "What are you doin' in my life?
I'm a free girl! I'll make it better!"
I said:"You can still change your mind!
Come on down to my house!"
but she left me alone, out in the cold,
not knowing she had done somebody wrong.
I felt like learning to fly, free falling,
straight into darkness.
Even the losers feel a whole lot better.
I was damaged by love,
nearly having a breakdown, like lost children
by refugee!
Now I got a woman, Carol, and I said to her:
"Handle me with care!"
It's allright for now. Love is a long road.
I won't back down!
When the time comes I'd say to Melinda:
"You won't see me crawling back to you!
Don't come around here no more!"
